There is definitely no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to choosing a bridal look for your wedding day. Your bridal look will represent your personal tastes, character and personality. Choosing a bridal look can therefore feel tricky for a bride-to-be.  The good news is that there are a selection of bridal looks to gain inspiration from and every bride is bound to find something they like.

In this article, we list 5 different bridal looks to consider for your wedding day. We’ve included pictures of wedding dresses so you can get a really good idea of the imagery each look conjures! The best part is, these dresses are all less than $1000. Let’s dive in.

modern and minamalist bride

Think of a  simple and fitted white dress without any crystals, lace or embellishments. The modern and minimal bride doesn’t need anything but the dress, a pair of nude strappy heels and a pair of studs. Keep makeup dewy for a natural glow and wear a sleek updo like a bun or  ponytail totop off the overall look. If you prefer to have your hair downjust keep it natural and slightly tousled.

Take a look at this modern minimal  Natalia Gown by Love Honor, which is $320.

Boho bride

The boho look is definitely one of the most popular bridal looks this year. The boho style is influenced by the free spirits of the 1960s/1970s and has been trending ever since. “Free spirited” is exactly how I’d describe a boho bride’s look. To achieve a boho look wear a flowing lace dress that will allow you to dance the night away and pair it with boots or sandals! Boho brides usually keep makeup very natural and hair is kept soft and simple. A hair accessory such as a flower crown or simple floral hairpins can really give your hair a beautiful boho twist.

Spell & The Gypsy Collective have an amazing bridal collection full of lace, textures and flowing skirts. The perfect boho dress from the collection is the Chloe gown which retails at $895.

The modern princess

Brides who love the princess look tend to love fairytales and the image of  Cinderella’s ball gown and tiara. Princess style dresses have a fuller skirt, and bodices are intricately detailed with lace or beading. Keep hair in a neat and sleek style such as a bun, glamour waves or even a ponytail. With this look, you can opt for more dramatic makeup with a focus on the eyes or the lips.  A sparkling tiara or crown is the perfect addition for any modern princess look, as it is all about making a statement on your wedding day.

We love this princess inspired dress from Bariano for $569.95

the timeless bride

The timeless bride will never go out of trend or style. Think of a dress which can be handed down to other generations and worn again. A great example of a timeless look would be Kate Middleton’s wedding outfit. She kept her overall look very simple and yet classic, wearing a long sleeved laced dress with a princess cut skirt. If you want to achieve the timeless bridal look, go for something made from satin or lace. Keep your hair pulled back in an upstyle and you can even top it off with a veil.

We love the Alice Dress which has a similar feel to Kate’s dress from Chi Chi London for $244.80.

the contemporary bride

If you want to keep things classic but also add  a modern twist this bridal look may be for you. The contemporary bride likes to keep up to date with trends and will go for something different, such as a strapless dress with voluminous sleeves or even a jumpsuit. You can choose to keep the distinctive look going by wearing statement jewellery or tone down the look with more simple accessories.

The Clara Gown from White Runway is one of my favourites, retailing at $660. The full length dress has a very classic skirt, but the puffy applique sleeves really add extra contemporary flair.
